About Us

Liron manages the content of the forum, a venture of Talent Generation Pty Ltd.

What is ENGAGE?

ENGAGE is a lively marketplace of ideas designed to cultivate debate on important
social, economic and philosophical issues.

ENGAGE exists to encourage critical thinking and raise a generation in conversation
ready to bring solutions to our world.

ENGAGE is part of a much larger enterprise under the auspices of Talent Generation,
a firm dedicated to engaging, equipping and empowering young people for the
global workforce.

How does ENGAGE work?

ENGAGE stimulates discussion by posing provocative questions and encouraging
debate as readers respond to the issues and each other’s contributions.
Above you will see a number of tabs: philosophy, politics, values, economics, the
arts, and religion. Under each of these there are a number of issues being discussed
at any one time. You can enter the debate by clicking on the issue.

In addition, there is also a tab – the rant page – a space to vent on any matter that
enrages or frustrates.

To submit an issue for discussion, do so under the introduction on any given topic
page. Subscribe to ENGAGE by clicking the link in the top left hand corner and
receive a monthly publication, including competition results, a review of the month’s
discussion, and employment opportunities.

Keep your eye on “Check it out” on the front page for any up‐coming competitions,
debates and contributions from noteworthy sources.

Why the University focus?

Universities are the centre of innovation, opinion formation and discussion. Some
authors have described university as the fulcrum by which we change the world. As
our generation faces a globalised world and is faced with global issues, ideas,
problems and challenges – we want to be engaged, interested, and mature in our
thinking – ready to lead the world.

ENGAGE exists to revitalise the university spirit.

What does ENGAGE hope to achieve?

Regular engagement with a range of perspectives will mean that the next generation
will be more aware, more knowledgeable, and more tolerant of other points of view.
We live in a democracy, and democracies flourish where people are aware, informed
and tolerant.

The idealism, passion and innovation of our generation means we have a lot to offer and we seek your partnership to realise that potential.
